Discover the end of the Ice Age on the Colorado plains! Littleton’s Lamb Spring is a nationally important archaeological and paleontological site. The remains of more than 31 mammoths have been excavated from this site, as well as many other grassland animals, spear points and traces of bison hunts.
Vertebrate paleoecologist Russell Graham (Adjunct Research Associate, CO School of Mines) talks about his work at Lamb Spring and other Ice Age sites. Learn about the mammoths, their environment and the other species who shared it with them. This program is presented in partnership with the Geological Society of America.
