Perhaps one of the best in the series, The Double Comfort Safari Club is another fantastic title from the incredible Alexander McCall Smith. In the 11th book of the series, Mma Romatswe and her faithful assistant (detective) Mma Makutsi…

Not the best in the series, not too much happened but the series is so good I enjoy every minute of reading.

As a traditionally shaped woman myself, I cannot help but love these books. I wish I were as wise as Mma Ramotswe. Not just wonderful stories but wisdom for life is offered in McCall's books: "That was the way the world was; it was…

I have read most of this series and this one is absolutely one of the best. The trip up the river is hilarious. A must read!

Haven't read one of these in a while, but I'm glad I picked this one up! It was lovely to reacquaint myself with Mma Ramotswe and Mma Matusi, the main characters in the series. As always, Mma R and her sidekick Mma M, solve mysteries…

I agree, a visit with old friends! What would a book in this series without mentioning bush tea and Mma Makutsi's 97%! Charming, indeed. Do not agree the series should come to an end..I, for one, will keep reading and enjoying these…

Interesting descriptions of modern-day Botswana, combined with Precious Ramotswe's insight into human nature, which helps her resolve problems. Not the usual idea of a mystery story, but I have enjoyed each one in this series, so far. …

A fun light read. It contains a little history, social insights, and character development for other books in the series. I chuckle every time I read about the "traditionally built" women described in the series.

How this man manages to crank out the number of books he does every year and keep them as fresh and entertaining as he does is beyond me. This 11th in the No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency series brings tragedy to Mma Makutsi and her fiance,…

A little bit repetitive and out of breath, if you have read all the other books in the series (as I did). With four series in writing, it's time to wrap this one up.

Not the best in the series but it was nice to visit Botswana and these warm characters again over a nice cup of tea.
