Reading this book gave me huge and helpful insight into my spouse who lost both parents during childhood. Through interviews of many adults both unknown and the famous (Poe, Marx, Woolf) I learned how this often devastating loss can reflect on choices and expectations throughout life. The author gives no advice, only the comfort of shared experience.
