Women who love to knit are determined to find time to practice their craft, despite the many roles they fulfill throughout the day. They knit while traveling or commuting, while waiting for their kids, while socializing. Times like these call for projects that are easily transportable and have stitch patterns that are simple to memorize.

Véronik Avery has created 30 such projects for Knitting 24/7, a collection of stylish clothing and accessories that make use of those "in-between" times when we're busy, yet our hands are free. Ranging from sweaters, scarves, and shrugs to hats and mitts, the projects represent both what women want to wear and what they actually have time to knit. The book's gorgeous color photographs capture women in a range of settings--a morning at work, a dinner with friends, a relaxing weekend afternoon--evoking the time of day when each wardrobe item might be worn.

A solid collection of patterns by a designer who is known for some great work. However, the premise that these are easily portable projects isn't quite realized like I expected. I was expecting more hats and fewer sweaters. The items are shown being worn by very slim fashion models, which is a bit disappointing.

Beautiful items to knit. I am looking forward to making the elegant skirt at some point. I also noticed that all the models were knitting while showing off the project examples! If you're looking for a range of traditional yet fashionable items to knit, give this book a try.

I love almost every pattern in this book. I've been knitting for 7 years but I still feel like a few of the patterns are still too advanced for me. Nonetheless, the projects are beautiful and inspiring all the same.

Will borrow again and again.

Tried knitting those "winter slippers" and the pattern just doesn't work. They are totally the wrong shape! You can email the designer through, but don't expect a quick response!

Beautiful book, It contains a variety of patterns, from small accessories (socks, mittens, hat, purse, scarf) to garments (skirt, vest). They are all doable and wearable. I borrowed the book to make a purse but then I ended up buying it. There are many projects I want to do from it.

Variety of projects. quick to complicated. Stitch patterns charted. Metric needle size included in pattern, but if you can't find the specific yarn used you will have to do a swatch to get the gauge, as there is no yarn weight translation in the book.

Lots of variety in patterns, some quick and others more detailed. The Cloche hat turned out beautifully and beautiful illustrations.
