First off - (In the name of "political correctness") - I definitely think that this book's title ought to be re-tweaked to read "I'll Have What She/He's Having" since 2 of the 14 celebrity-diets that author, Rebecca Harrington claims to have sampled herself here were, in fact, the diets of men.

Anyway - If you happen to be someone who is actually intrigued by the nutritional regiments of such celebrity big-wigs as - Marilyn Monroe, Beyonce, Greta Garbo, Jackie Kennedy, and Karl Lagerfeld (to name but a few) - This decidedly absurd and occasionally humorous piece of non-fiction (about nutritional guidance) may prove to be of some notable interest to you.

*Note* - Just keep in mind - If you actually do decide to adopt certain eccentric dietary requirements like those of the stars - Don't expect anything miraculous to happen, such as fame and fortune following suit..... Bon Appetit!!

This author is pretty funny. I'm nearly tempted to try a few of the bizarre celebrity diets myself!

This compilation of Rebecca Harrington's diet articles from the pages of New York magazine is a short and sweet read. The commentary is hilarious and the diets are at turns atrocious and delightful. Rather than detailing exhaustive facts about quantities and authenticity, Ms. Harrington gives a peek into the lives of each celebrity, or, more accurately, our collective celebrity-obsessed culture's understanding of their lives.
