I'm of two minds about this book--I wanted to love it, but couldn't manage it. Though ostensibly a children's picture book, it feels more aimed at adults, to the point that I could imagine keeping it on my coffee table, but not reading it in a storytime. Kids aren't going to understand who the Coco in question is (Chanel), and the lack of any sort of explanatory note at the end of the text feels like a glaring omission. However, what saves this is the illustrations, which I loved enough to bump this up to a 3.5 star rating from me. Really not much of a kids book--but a fun read for adults, and it sure is lovely to look at.
