Hard to understand how he could be so naïve.... Of course, the British abdicated ex-king was far worse. Britain probably dodged a bullet when Bertie came to the throne instead of his brother.

Certainly interesting bio & one I, apparently, was was not curious about until seeing this DVD cover & recognizing the name primarily from Wooster & Jeeves. I've not read any of his work but crazy about W&J forever memorably play by Laurie & Fry - what a duo. Timothy Piggot-Smith was excellent as PDW.

Very interesting to learn the back story of one of England's funniest writers. Good that England finally honoured him, disgraceful that it took them so long.

I learned something about PGW that I did not know in a part of history that is fraught with ethical and moral decisions as well as survival stories. I enjoyed the acting as well.
