7 KHOON MAAF seems to be a film nobody loves, and indeed it isn't what you'd call an historic or important film. On the other hand, it gives us its premise right away -- a woman has had seven husbands, all of who die -- and this puts us in the driver's seat throughout: every new husband who comes along, we already know his fate.

Now either you're up for that or you aren't, but for those of us who saw Shirley MacLaine in 1967's WOMAN TIMES SEVEN (or to some extent, Jeanne Moreau in THE BRIDE WORE BLACK), this film does exactly what it says it will do. It isn't deep, it isn't landmark, it's not even terribly comedic, though the premise itself is already rather a stretch. So if you're ready to see seven guys die after marrying Priyanka Chopra, here's 7 KHOON MAAF!
