The fourth in the Sir John Fielding and Jeremy Proctor series. This one sees Jeremy getting more mature, learning new skills and participating in capturing two truly brutal killers. I'm not much of a fan of violence, and some of the incidents in this book were really gory. However, to miss this book in the series would be to miss part of Jeremy's development into the lawyer he becomes as he writes the book. The clues to the identities of the murderers were there, but cleverly hidden, so that made figuring out the puzzle challenging, which is one reason I read mysteries.
