Normally, I don't go for these types of romance novels but I actually really liked this one. Having a feminist heroine made the story really unique and I enjoyed that the main characters had a history with each other. The characters were well developed.

I'd love to hand this book to people who don't think romance novels can be feminist. There's so much awesome stuff about consent and respect and whatnot in this one, it made me seriously happy. In addition to all of that, this book is grounded by two stellar, really interesting and likable protagonists, and even though I likely would have appreciated this even more if I'd read all of Ashe's Falcon Club books leading up to this one, this was still super enjoyable and entertaining. (Plus, historical romance road-trip books are like catnip for me.)
