I enjoyed this book and found it realistic in the sense of living a life and how it changes over the years and how one changes. I find it interesting how faith in God can change someone to live a better life yet question how Joey who led this good life as a good person who ate healthy and seemed to have no bad habits becomes the victim of terminal cancer. If it were me I am sure I would be questioning God's path for me. I would recommend this book. Easy read.

Rory Feek opens up his heart and memories sharing with us the struggles of his childhood and through to the love and tears shed during and following the death of his wife, Joey. A must-read.

Rory writes a transparent biography, openly admitting his sins and the difference Christ has made in his life. A compelling read! Very imaginative!

A powerful story of love, faith, and the grace of a wife and new mother who battles cancer with spirit and immense courage. Beautifully written by her beloved husband, it is a testament to the strength of true love without sugar coating. Stays with you long after the last page.

I am not someone who followed this couple nor their music but knew vaguely of them. I appreciated the authors honesty in his own life and being so open to share his faults. I learned a few things I could change in my own life and my relationship with God and felt a few pages of inspiration. This book was all over the place and didn't really flow. It began with some childhood experiences but as it went on would switch from past to present and was difficult to follow. Sounds like a great marriage and sad to hear of her death. I give this 3 stars.
