It was O.K for a home TV movie. I was entertained and interesting. But it was NOT worth the long library wait or the price to rent from a Red Box. I fast forwarded a lot but not all the way.

Hamberger Hill ---- (DVD - 2008) Realistic War Movie (Viet Nam) ---- This is the 4th time I've viewed this Dramatic Film; Video; DVD. ---- As the record shows the first film was the strongest version shown, the video and the now DVD, have been filterd more. ---- This is both good and bad. ---- In all Battles over the course of time (centuries) Friendly fire of: Rocks, Spears, Arrows or Bullits. Kills the wrong warriors! ---- It is war and the fight is hurried always. ---- So please keep this in mind. ---- ---- In countries like Viet Nam, It is an honor to die in battle. ---- With us (USA) a misfortune ---- So the battle is with a fearce Enemy, Etc. ---- ---- The Show is Horrific and Sad in the fight. Portrayed well none the less. ---- Relise the Education your getting ---- RichardPaul (Finished 6-1-13)

A lot more intense than the 'John Wayne' version of Hollywood combat ! The 'friendly fire' is heart breaking ! There is an honest absence of cliches or 'soft-soaping',.. added with serious production values, profane dialogue, realistic(!) combat gore, recreational whoring, and excellent locations that double for Viet Nam, It succeeds in being pro-'G.I.',..but could not be called pro-war. (P.S. It may be too bloody for children.)
