In September 1873, Elizabeth Coughlin, bankrupted by her husband's folly and death, embarks on a buffalo hunt with her estranged brother-in-law -- a hunt that her husband had planned, she now realizes, as his last hope for saving their land. This is a gripping narrative of that infamous hunt, which drove the buffalo population to near extinction.

My wife and I read this book, with her liking it better than myself. The many characters and spoken sentences had me a bit confused or lost. My wife had little trouble and was pleased with all that. Good read, and she recommends it! There IS some graphic "historical incidents", but grateful the Hero of this novel does not condone them.
