A story of struggle and resilience. The author has the ability to create a story within a simple phrase extending an event into its own world. This creativity can be exhausting at times yet adds a colorful and distinct quality to this slice of life novel.

Exceptional novel exploring the mother-daughter relationship against the backdrop of a working class community.
