This book can make a great gift! If you want to discourage someone from going into commodities, just buy them a copy of this book. I'm not sure what's more powerful, her writing style that makes it sound like people are ONLY losing money in the commodities market or the stories she showcases that are the lowest points in investment history. I wish she was a constructive nay-sayer listing all the risks of commodities investing in a factual, objective way and then offering methods of risk mitigation. No. She just paints a very gloomy, doomy picture and the last 2 chapters are roughly, "Oh, Good Luck! Bye bye now!" I think I'm actually angry with this author for infecting this world with her obtuse thinking. Don't waste your time reading this book. I hope Carley Garner doesn't write another book again.
