This half season features James Beard Award Winning Southern Chef Sean Brock (author of the Heritage cookbook). Mind of a Chef is almost a meditation on food. In each season, through the episodes, the viewer becomes acquainted with the influences, thought processes and biographies of accomplished chefs. Sean Brock's combination of comfortable Southern classics and fine dining versions of the same, make for compelling viewing. There are outdoor barbeques and one dining experience with incredibly hot fried chicken that are funny and challenging viewing. Further, his exploration of the African roots of much of the South's cuisine is riveting. Well worth it for foodies.
