Inferno Squad is a prequel to the Battlefront II game that came out a few months ago. It starts out after the battle of Yavin and introduces the main character Iden Versio, (who happens to be one the few survivors of the Death Star explosion), and a few others who form the team called Inferno Squad. This book focuses on one of their early missions that has the team becoming undercover agents and attempting to get rid of the last remaining Partisans. (Saw Gerrera's version of rebels). Throughout the course of the book, the characters discover that their mission is not as easy as they originally thought as they face all kinds of challenges by working with the rebel group. Inferno Squad is definitely interesting as it goes from the point of view of hard core Imperials. (This is something I don't normally see in Star Wars books, maybe with the exception of Mara Jade). I liked that this book was fast paced, short, and easy to read and understand, and I also thought the all the members of the squad, particularly Iden got some good character development. The only main criticism I have was the crazy amount of swearing in this novel. But beside that, I think that this book was fun to read and it made me actually want to play the game. (And, this cover is pretty cool!)
