Language of African Drumming with Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities
Celebrate Juneteenth with African rhythms and melodies that have shaped the development of blues and jazz, ultimately influencing the rise of rock and roll.
Join Bob Hall from the Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities who will teach the “alphabet” of African hand drums forming basic sounds to create the language of drums. Practice playing traditional African rhythm patterns and learn about the use of these sounds and instruments in different African cultures.
