Responsible Decision-Making: PreK - 12th Grade Books and Resources

This is an HSD/HPL partnership to support social awareness for students from Pre-K through 12th grade. The Hillsboro Public Library has selected books, material and teaching resources that supports social awareness in the 5 CASEL competencies. Responsible decision-making is the ability to make constructive choices about personal behavior and social interactions based on ethical standards, safety concerns, and social norms. The realistic evaluation of consequences of various actions, and a consideration of the well-being of oneself and others. Some examples include identifying problems, analyzing situations, solving problems, evaluating, reflecting and ethical responsibility. We have curated these materials targeted for HSD students, teachers and families. Book and material description will be listed and some pairing with activity guides! #HillsboroLibrary #StudentSuccess #WCCLS #Español #Bilingual #WCCLSespañol #HSD
